National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, Odisha, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into the following departments of Ph.D (Doctorate of Philosophy)/M.Tech (Master of Technology) (Research) programme, to be offered in the starting autumn semester July, 2012-13 session
Admission will be made by short listing candidates on the basis of their applications, followed by their performance in the interview, to be conducted by the Institute
Courses Offered :
Ph.D/M.Tech (Research): Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering, Physics
Ph.D: Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (including instrumentation engineering), Humanities and Social Sciences (English, Psychology, Economics and Sociology), Industrial Design, School of Management
Procedure how to apply:
Interested candidates need to apply online by logging onto the Institute’s official website www.nitkl.ac.in or admission portal www.application.nitrkl.ac.in
The application fee (non-refundable) is Rs 500/- which is to be paid in the form of demand draft drawn in favor of The Director, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, payable at any bank in Rourkela
After the successful submission of the online application, one must take a printout of the application form.
The duly acknowledged printout of the application form, along with demand draft and appropriate Sponsorship Certificate (if applicable), should be sent to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), National Institute of Technology, Rourkela-769008, Odisha, latest by 04th June, 2012
The envelope containing the application form should be super scribed with Application for Ph.D/M.Tech (Research)
One must note that the results of scrutiny and selection will be displayed on the Institute’s website www.nitrkl.ac.in and no intimation will be sent to any candidate by post
